A small studio that does careful work
We started Universal Horizons in 2016 with a simple idea: build websites the way you'd want them built if it were your own business. No churn, no jargon, no disappearing after launch.
We're a team of fourteen designers, engineers, and strategists based in Sheridan, Wyoming. Most of our work is for small and mid-sized businesses — the kind where the website matters but there isn't a big internal team to run it.
Being in Wyoming keeps us grounded and keeps our rates fair. Being senior keeps the work good. We've turned down growth that would have meant hiring people we couldn't vouch for, because the whole point is that you talk to people who know what they're doing.
We believe in owning your own platform, in code that the next developer can read, and in telling clients the truth even when it costs us the upsell. That's gotten us a roster of clients who've stayed for years — which is the only metric we really care about.
